Administrative sources have confirmed that the contract of Oliseh is ready to be signed but that the two camps are appraising the agreement reached and should firm up the deal this week in an official ceremony in the Nigerian capital, Abuja.
NFF general secretary, Sanusi, was tight-lipped when asked by supersport.com on the plans to officially land Oliseh as Nigeria’s head coach this Wednesday.
Dr Mohammed Sanusi referred supersport.com to speak to the chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, Felix Anyansi-Agwu, when asked of the plans to officially land Oliseh as Nigeria’s Coach this Wednesday.
“I think the best man to speak on the matter is the chairman of the (NFF) technical committee,” he said on Monday.
But Anyansi-Agwu is currently out of the country and is only expected back this week before the contract signing and presentation of Oliseh in Abuja.
Last week, Anyansi-Agwu confirmed talks had been opened with Oliseh and “an offer has been made.”
“An offer has been made, and there is understanding, but we have to work out the final details of the agreement in a few days. Of course, the Executive Board has to give approval for his appointment based on the final terms to be agreed,” Anyansi-Agwu told the NFF official website.
Oliseh holds a Uefa Pro Licence and his only coaching experience remains a stint with Belgian modest outfit, Royal Cercle Sportif Verviétois.
But the 40-year-old is also a member of the 20-man Fifa Technical Study Group.
