MA Feature: The Miller Cousins Are the Ultimate Society Darlings for the Social-Media Age
Isabel Getty (yes, that Getty),Talita Von Fürstenberg (yes, that Von Fürstenberg) and Princess Marie-Olympia (yes, a princess) are descendants of three beautiful and blue-blooded sisters. Derek Blasberg finds out how these next generation “It girls” are updating their glamorous genes for the Instagram era.
Once upon a time (way back in the 1990s), there were three sisters—Pia, Marie-Chantal, and Alexandra—who were the fairest of them all. They were called the Miller sisters—and they were the epitome of high society. Each went on to end her adolescence with a fairy-tale wedding complete with a Prince Charming: Pia to oil heir Christopher Getty, grandson of Jean Paul Getty, in 1992; Marie-Chantal to Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece, son of the former king, in 1995; and Alexandra to Prince Alexandre Von Fürstenberg, the only son of designer Diane von Furstenberg (who styles her name differently) and her first husband, the late Prince Egon, in 1995.
Today, there is a new, burgeoning flock of swans—the heiresses of the aforementioned unions: Isabel Getty, 22, lives in New York and is a student at N.Y.U.; Princess Marie-Olympia of Greece, 18, also lives in New York and studies photography at Parsons School of Design; and Talita Von Fürstenberg, 16, is a high-school junior in L.A. (There are also eight boy cousins.)
